Braised duck rice and noodles at Tiong Bahru Market — tender, savoury, and steeped in hawker tradition.
Tiong Bahru Braised Duck is a hawker stall at Tiong Bahru Market serving classic braised duck rice and noodles. The duck is slow-braised in a rich soy-based master stock until tender, its meat imbued with the deep, savoury flavours of the braising liquid. Served over rice or yellow noodles with a ladle of sauce and a side of braised peanuts and tau pok, it is a straightforward, satisfying dish that speaks to the heart of Singapore hawker cuisine. The stall keeps the menu focused, allowing the braised duck to remain the star. Prices are affordable, and portions are adequate for a satisfying lunch.
It is a dependable choice within Tiong Bahru Market, where the sheer number of stalls can make decision-making difficult — regulars know they can count on a solid plate here. For a taste of traditional braised duck without the fuss, Tiong Bahru Braised Duck is a reliable market staple.

There are two different prices for regular and upsize portions. Make sure you say regular size, otherwise you might get regular but asked to pay for upsize by default.

Nice kway chap and noodles. The dishes were perfect. But I have to give a three star because of the braised duck - a little hard to chew today (probably an “old duck”). The intestines are also hard. We will be back to try again to see if the braised duck texture improves. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
