Satay bee hoon with rich peanut gravy, a Bukit Merah View hawker classic.
Jia Xiang Satay Bee Hoon at Bukit Merah View Food Centre serves the uniquely Singaporean dish of satay bee hoon, where rice vermicelli and a colourful medley of ingredients are drenched in a thick, spiced peanut sauce. The stall's version is known for its well-balanced gravy, neither too sweet nor overly cloying, coating strands of bee hoon alongside cuttlefish, pork slices, bean curd and kangkung. The satay sauce here leans aromatic rather than heavy, making it a popular choice even on warm afternoons. Regulars appreciate the consistent quality and the generous ladling of peanut gravy, with the option to add extra ingredients for a heartier bowl.
The stall also offers traditional satay sticks for those who prefer their peanut sauce on the side. If you have not tried satay bee hoon or are chasing a reliable version near Bukit Merah, Jia Xiang is a solid pick. The peanut sauce alone is worth the visit.

A new stall in Bukit Merah View Hawker Center. The $5 plate is value for money as the gravy was piping hot and tasted good. There were also many pieces of Sotong, liver, pork and a few pieces of cockles. Overall a good plate of satay mee. I will definitely come here for it.
